Portrait of a girl

A beautiful portrait of what seems to be a little girl. Her face shows a certain determination, but also shows the sensitivity of a young child. It raises all kinds of questions: Who is she? Who portrayed her? And why? Where is she from? Where is she now? It could keep me busy for hours. It is a work I have long owned and fallen totally in love with. Mainly the loose brush stroke of red paint in the lower right, which suggests the top of her clothes, shows quality and makes the work very vivid and interesting.
